Show Notes

This week’s Nonprofit Spotlight shines on Yvette Borja, organizer with No New Jail Coalition (NNJC). Yvette is also the inaugural Laura E. Gómez Teaching Fellow on Latinx People and the Law at UCLA Law School and the founder of Radio Cachimbona, an abolitionist podcast that audio-archives state repression and fierce migrant resistance in the Southern Arizona borderlands and beyond. NNJC is coalition of groups and individuals driven by a desire to see an end to incarceration as a catch-all response to community problems faced by the community. NNJC can be found on Instagram at @no_new_jail_coalition_pimaco
