Gretchen of The Weekly Green chats with Roxanne Garcia, Co-Director of Heirloom Farmers Markets.
They talk here, specifically about the Farmers Market at Rillito Park. This Market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9-1. Every single week.
From their site:
“Located in the southeast corner of the Rillito Park property right next to the Rilito Path Loop. The Saturday market carries 30+ vendors and the Sunday market boasts 80+ market vendors, food trucks, live music and chef demonstrations. In collaboration with Heirloom and The Rillito Park foundation, Pima County has built a permanent farmers market pavilion that serves as a destination for all local food and offers 700ft. of shopping shade. “We are creating a place that aligns with our mission of celebrating, connecting and educating the community of all that local food has to offer”, says Manish Shah, Co-Director of the Heirloom Farmers Markets.
