This week’s Nonprofit Spotlight shines on Arianna Jimenez from The Lot on 22nd. The Lot on 22nd is a nonprofit, unaffiliated group with the small and immediate goal of providing some basic necessities and food. The project is simple, and succeeds with the generosity and care of volunteers. Twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday from 5-7, The Lot on 22nd sets up on an empty lot between Swan and Columbus on 22nd Street and shares a meal. In addition, they pass out socks, hygiene products, coats, pants, shirts and other donated items to meet the most basic human comforts.
